Let’s face it, while we may want to stay unplugged the fact of the matter is that everything is moving online. Banking, shopping & communicating are just some of the things that most of us do online daily.
The simplest way to keep your information safe online is to always be wary of entering any personal information on websites. Always check and re-check where you’re inputting your information and ask yourself why the website is asking for your information. When banking or shopping online, always make sure that the website you’re visiting has a padlock icon in the address bar. Never use the same password twice.
Run a virus and malware check at least once a week and use an antivirus with real-time monitoring. Often, the antivirus will detect when you’re about to visit a bad website and block it for you.
